Upgrading our wastewater network on Andrews Road and Angle Vale Road

We’re upgrading wastewater infrastructure in your area to support reliable services for current and future customers in Angle Vale.

Construction is now underway, with around 10 kilometres of new wastewater mains being installed along Andrews Road and Angle Vale Road.

  • Along Andrews Road, from the Bellchambers Road intersection through to the Angle Vale Road intersection
  • Along Angle Vale Road, from the Andrews Road intersection through to the Stebonheath Road intersection.


What to expect

  • Changed traffic arrangements will be in place along Andrews Road and Angle Vale Road until the end of 2025
  • Work may take place during the day, at night or on weekends to help maintain schedule and minimise disruption
  • You may notice some noise, vibration and dust during construction
  • We’ll continue working closely with the community to minimise impacts wherever possible

What happens to roads and footpaths after our works?

We work closely with the local council and follow all required reinstatement obligations, reinstating the parts of the road, footpath or the environment directly impacted by our works.

    Where: Andrews Road / Womma Road intersection

    Hours of work: 7:30pm to 6:00am, Sunday to Friday

    Key details:

    Stage 1: Sunday 15 March (date TBC):

    • Andrews Road / Womma Road intersection full closure for one night only
    • minor delays are to be expected.

    Stage 1 detour – full closure:


    Stage 2: Mid-March until mid-April 2026

    • the Womma Road and Andrews Road intersection will be reduced to one lane with traffic lights and speed restrictions in place
    • Andrews Road will be closed between Womma Road and Petherton Road
    • minor delays are to be expected.

    Where: Andrews Road closure between Orange Parade and Peerless Road

    Hours of work: 7.00am - 5.00pm, Monday to Friday

    Key details:

    • multiple sections of Andrews Road will be closed to traffic from 7.00am to 5.00pm, Monday to Friday
    • traffic changes will be in place, please follow the detour signage onsite
    • outside of work hours, the road will be open in most locations, with speed and lane restrictions
    • to reduce the overall construction time, work will occur in multiple locations along Andrews Road
    • local and business access will be maintained at all times
    • bus stops inside the work zones will be temporarily relocated
    • signage at affected bus stops will provide details of alternate locations.

    Detour 1: Andrews Road closure between Orange Parade and Chellaston Road

    • Andrews Road/Peerless Road intersection works

    Detour 2: Outside working hours, the following detour will be in place with traffic restrictions in place

    • Andrews Road closed between Orange Parade and Peerless Road (for safety reasons this closure will be in place 24/7 from early January until early April 2026)

    Where: Andrews Road between Petherton Road and Curtis Road

    Hours of work: 7.00am - 5.00pm, Monday to Friday

    Key details:

    • additional crews will be working along this section of Andrews Road
    • to reduce the overall construction time, work will take place in multiple locations
    • to safely complete the works, sections of Andrews Road will be closed to traffic at all times
    • outside work hours, 1 lane closure with traffic lights and shuttle flow will be in place in some locations
    • multiple detours will be in place for the duration of the works – please follow all onsite signage
    • local and business access will be maintained at all times
    • works are also continuing along Andrews Road, north of Curtis Road.
