Upgrading our water network in Virginia

As part of our works to upgrade infrastructure in Virginia, we’re installing around 3,000 metres of new water mains to support reliable services for existing customers as well as future customers in Riverlea.

This essential work began in September 2024 and continues along Angle Vale Road (between Robert Road and Port Wakefield Road) and Supple Road, helping to support growth in Riverlea and surrounding communities.

We’re also constructing a new pressure reducing valve on Supple Road, which will connect to the new pipe to regulate incoming water pressure from SA Water’s broader network.

Where we’re working
(See maps below for details)

Angle Vale Road (Robert Road to Supple Road)

  • Sunday to Thursday, 7:00pm to 6.00am

Supple Road

What to expect

  • Changed traffic arrangements will be in place along Angle Vale Road and Supple Road until late 2025
  • Work may take place during the day, at night or on weekends to help maintain schedule and minimise disruption
  • You may notice some noise, vibration and dust during construction
  • We’ll continue working closely with the community to minimise impacts wherever possible
  • If you're directly affected, we’ll provide advance notice and work closely with residents, businesses, and road users before and during construction.

Thank you for your understanding while we deliver these important upgrades to support your community.

Please note: Timeline dates are subject to change based on program requirements and weather conditions

What happens to roads and footpaths after our works?

We work closely with the local council and follow all required reinstatement obligations, reinstating the parts of the road, footpath or the environment directly impacted by our works.
