Upgrading our water network in Curtis Road and surrounds

To support reliable water services for existing and future customers in Angle Vale, we’re installing approximately 4.4 kilometres of new water mains along Curtis Road and surrounding streets.

Works started in March 2025, with activity taking place along the main corridor and in nearby verges and parallel streets. A new wastewater main will also be installed along Curtis Road between Andrews Road and President Avenue.

This upgrade is an important part of strengthening the network and supporting growth in the area.

Water and wastewater pipe installation works will take place along or across the following locations:

  • Craigmore Road
  • Curtis Road
  • Across Main North Road
  • Gardiner Terrace
  • Across Charlotte Street
  • Coventry Road
  • Greenwood Crescent
  • Hodby Crescent
  • Across Peachey Road
  • Davison Crescent
  • Across Featherstone Street

What to expect

  • Changed traffic arrangements will be in place along Curtis Road and surrounding streets until early 2026
  • Work may take place during the day, at night or on weekends to help maintain schedule and minimise disruption
  • You may notice some noise, vibration and dust during construction
  • We’ll continue working closely with the community to minimise impacts wherever possible
  • If you're directly affected, we’ll provide advance notice and work closely with residents, businesses, and road users before and during construction.

Please note: Timeline dates are subject to change based on program requirements and weather conditions.

What happens to roads and footpaths after our works?

We work closely with the local council and follow all required reinstatement obligations, reinstating the parts of the road, footpath or the environment directly impacted by our works.

    Further pipe installation works will take place along Craigmore Road to connect the new water infrastructure to the water tanks located on the corner of Craigmore Road and Adams Road.

    Work will begin on Monday 27 October, between Park Lake Boulevard and Bentley Road, and continue until Friday 31 October 2025.

    From 3 November, pipe installation will take place on both sides of Craigmore Road, progressing from Bentley Road east towards Adams Road. These works are expected to continue until April 2026. Traffic changes and detour maps for this section of works will be available soon.

    Monday 27 – Friday 31 October 2025

    Where: Craigmore Road, between Park Lake Boulevard and Bentley Road.

    Hours of work: 7:00 am – 5:00 pm

    Key details:

    • Craigmore Road will be closed to traffic between Park Lake Boulevard and Bentley Road during the day, with the westbound lane reopened at night (after 5:00pm)
    • detours will be in place – please follow signage onsite
    • local and business access will be maintained at all times
    • changed traffic conditions will apply
    • you may notice some noise, vibration and dust during these works.


    Craigmore Road – 7:00am to 5:00pm full closure detour between Park Lake Boulevard and Bentley Road

    Where: Curtis Road, between Featherstone Street and Stebonheath Road.

    Hours of work: 7:00 pm – 6:00 am, Sunday to Friday


    Day works

    When: Monday 20 October until early November 2025

    Where: Stebonheath Road and through the verge.

    Hours of work: 7:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday to Friday

    • Curtis Road will be closed, between Stebonheath Road and Featherstone Street to traffic at night, Sunday to Friday
    • Stebonheath Road will be closed, across both lanes, south of the Curtis Road roundabout to traffic 24/7 until Friday 7 November 2025
