Upgrading our wastewater network on Andrews Road and Angle Vale Road

We’re upgrading wastewater infrastructure in your area to support reliable services for current and future customers in Angle Vale.

Construction is now underway, with around 10 kilometres of new wastewater mains being installed along Andrews Road and Angle Vale Road.

What to expect

  • Changed traffic arrangements will be in place along Andrews Road and Angle Vale Road until the end of 2025
  • Work may take place during the day, at night or on weekends to help maintain schedule and minimise disruption
  • You may notice some noise, vibration and dust during construction
  • We’ll continue working closely with the community to minimise impacts wherever possible

What happens to roads and footpaths after our works?

We work closely with the local council and follow all required reinstatement obligations, reinstating the parts of the road, footpath or the environment directly impacted by our works.

    Works will occur along Andrews Road between Curtis Road and Fradd East Road from 10 June through to the end of 2025.

    The first stage will occur along Andrews Road from the intersection of Peerless Road, moving north.

    When: 10th June to mid-July

    Where: Andrews Road and Peerless Road intersection, moving north.

    Hours of work: Monday to Friday between 7.00 am and 5.00 pm

    Key details:

    • Local and business access will be maintained at all times
    • Traffic changes will be in place – please follow detour signage on site
    • Bus stops inside the work zones will be temporarily relocated
    • Signage at affected bus stops will provide details of alternate locations, which will be advised ahead of works
    • works are also occurring on Curtis Road between President Avenue and Leicester Grove.

    A new stage of works will soon begin to install new water pipes beneath Angle Vale Road, starting near the Andrews Road intersection and progressing east toward Stebonheath Road.


    When:

    Works are scheduled to commence Sunday 11 May and are expected to be completed by late 2025.


    Key details:

    • construction will take place overnight from 7:30pm to 6:00am, Sunday to Friday
    • to ensure safety, this section of Angle Vale Road will be closed during night works
    • detours will be clearly signposted via Dalkeith and Stebonheath Roads
    • access to properties within the work zone will be maintained through on-site traffic management.

    The next stage of pipeline installation along Andrews Road, from the current site through to Womma Road, will begin on Monday 5 May and continue to July 2025.

    To access properties on the southern section of Andrews Road, all traffic will need to detour via Stebonheath Road and Bellchambers Road. Please refer to the detour map below.

    The road will be closed just north of the entrance to the residential village. Access to properties within the work zone will be maintained – please speak to onsite traffic management personnel for assistance.

    Key details:

    When: From Monday 5 May to July 2025

    Road closed: Andrews Road between Womma Road and just north of the residential village entrance

    Detour: Via Stebonheath Road and Bellchambers Road (indicated by red/blue arrows)

    Local traffic: Access to properties in the work zone will be maintained through onsite traffic management
