Upgrading our water network in Concordia and Gawler East

To improve capacity and secure reliable water services for existing and future customers in the Roseworthy region, we're upgrading the local water network in Concordia and Gawler East. As part of these works, new water mains have already been installed along Martin Road, Concordia and Sunnydale Avenue, Gawler East, while construction is continuing on two new booster pump stations at Concordia Road and Schomburgk Drive to further strengthen the network and support future growth.

Concordia Road, Concordia

From November 2025, we’ll be upgrading the local water infrastructure along Concordia Road. This includes replacing the existing booster pump station located at the corner of Concordia Road and Barossa Valley Way. Construction of the new booster pump station began in late November 2025 and will continue through to mid-2027.

Schomburgk Drive, Gawler East

From mid-2026, we will be upgrading the water infrastructure at Schomburgk Drive in Gawler East, which includes the installation of pipes under the road along Schomburgk Drive a new booster pump station.

We will aim to complete these works as efficiently as possible, minimising disruption to the community.

What to expect

  • changed traffic arrangements will be in place across the area until mid-2026
  • work may take place during the day, at night or on weekends to help maintain schedule and minimise disruption
  • you may notice some noise, vibration and dust during construction
  • we’ll continue working closely with the community to minimise impacts wherever possible.

Please note: Timeline dates are subject to change based on program requirements and weather conditions.

What happens to roads and footpaths after our works?

We work closely with the local council and follow all required reinstatement obligations, reinstating the parts of the road, footpath or the environment directly impacted by our works.
