Edinburgh North: Bellchambers and Stebonheath Road roundabout
Upgrading our wastewater network – Bellchambers and Stebonheath Road roundabout
As part of ongoing upgrades to support reliable wastewater services in the area, construction is now underway to install approximately 86 metres of new wastewater mains and three new inspection points on the north-eastern corner of the Bellchambers and Stebonheath Road roundabout.
This work will help support existing, new, and future customers in the surrounding community.
These works are being delivered alongside other nearby wastewater projects, with project teams closely collaborating to coordinate detours and traffic management to reduce community impacts.
What to expect
- Changed traffic arrangements will be in place near the Bellchambers and Stebonheath Road roundabout until August 2025
- Work may take place during the day, at night or on weekends to help maintain schedule and minimise disruption
- You may notice some noise, vibration and dust during construction
- We’ll continue working closely with the community to minimise impacts wherever possible
Please note: Timeline dates are subject to change based on program requirements and weather conditions.
What happens to roads and footpaths after our works?
We work closely with the local council and follow all required reinstatement obligations, reinstating the parts of the road, footpath or the environment directly impacted by our works.
