The commissioning works for the Sandy Creek tanks and related infrastructure are currently underway. As part of the commissioning process, the new pipeline will need to be connected to the existing network. To complete this connection and commissioning works as efficiently as possible, crews will be required to work 24/7 for the below dates. Learn more about the commissioning process.

Due to recent weather conditions the connection and commissioning works have been delayed by a week. Our crews will be required to work two nights on the new below dates.

When: Tuesday, 25 August and Tuesday, 1 September 2026

Where: Kalperri to Kalbeeba Pipeline, Sandy Creek

    Hours of work:

    • Night works: 6:00 pm to 7:00 am
    • Existing daytime construction hours will continue

During this time there may be potential temporary impacts to water pressure and quality in the surrounding area. Your water will remain safe to drink, and we recommend running your outside taps for a couple of minutes to help it clear.

As part of these works SA Water will be conducting our second stage of water discharge into the Sandy Creek natural creek bed. SA Water and our contract partner MCDRSRGJV will monitor and observe Sandy Creek during this time to monitor the flow behaviour.

Thank you for your patience while we complete this essential work.
