Upgrading our water network in Curtis Road and surrounds

To support reliable water services for existing and future customers in Angle Vale, we’re installing approximately 4.4 kilometres of new water mains along Curtis Road and surrounding streets.

Works started in March 2025, with activity taking place along the main corridor and in nearby verges and parallel streets. A new wastewater main will also be installed along Curtis Road between Andrews Road and Heaslip Road.

This upgrade is an important part of strengthening the network and supporting growth in the area.

Water and wastewater pipe installation works will take place along or across the following locations:

  • Across Main North Road
  • Gardiner Terrace
  • Across Charlotte Street
  • Coventry Road
  • Greenwood Crescent
  • Hodby Crescent
  • Across Peachey Road
  • Davison Crescent
  • Across Featherstone Street

Angle Vale to Munno Para West: Heaslip Road, Curtis Road

Wastewater pipe installation works are scheduled to begin in January 2026 and will take place along or across the following locations:

  • Heaslip Road
  • Curtis Road (Angle Vale)
  • Across Northern Expressway
  • Curtis Road (Munno Para West)

What to expect

  • Changed traffic arrangements will be in place along Curtis Road and surrounding streets until mid-2026
  • Work may take place during the day, at night or on weekends to help maintain schedule and minimise disruption
  • You may notice some noise, vibration and dust during construction
  • We’ll continue working closely with the community to minimise impacts wherever possible
  • If you're directly affected, we’ll provide advance notice and work closely with residents, businesses, and road users before and during construction.

Please note: Timeline dates are subject to change based on program requirements and weather conditions.

What happens to roads and footpaths after our works?

We work closely with the local council and follow all required reinstatement obligations, reinstating the parts of the road, footpath or the environment directly impacted by our works.

    When: mid-January until late February 2026

    Where: Heaslip Road, Curtis Road/Heaslip Road intersection

    Hours of work: 6:00pm to 6:00am, Sunday to Friday

    Key details:

    • night works will take place between 6:00pm to 6:00am, Sunday to Friday
    • to ensure safety, Curtis Road between Phillip Avenue and Benestare Avenue will be closed during night works
    • Heaslip Road will have one lane closed with traffic lights and speed restrictions in place during night works
    • detours will be in place, please follow all on-site signage
    • local and business access will be maintained at all times
    • day works will take place on the verge.

  • Craigmore Road – asphalting upgrade

    The full width of Craigmore Road will be re-asphalted to improve the surface and ride quality for commuters.

    Rather than repairing only affected sections of the road, we will now contribute equivalent funding to help the council complete a full-width road reconstruction.

    Works will start from mid- December 2025 and be conducted in stages by the council to reduce traffic disruptions, and after further pipes have been installed. Completion expected in March 2026.

    When: Mid- December 2025 to late March 2026

    Where:Craigmore Road, between Main North Road and Adams Road

    Details:
