Upgrading our water network in Concordia and Gawler East

To improve capacity and secure reliable water services for existing and future customers in the Roseworthy region, we’re upgrading the local water network in Concordia and Gawler East.

Construction is now underway, with new water mains being installed alongside existing mains to strengthen the network. There are no expected interruptions to water supply during the works.

When and where we’re working

Martin Road, Concordia

  • Monday to Friday, 7:00 am to 5:30 pm
  • Changed traffic arrangements expected until December 2025

Sunnydale Avenue and Concordia Road, Gawler East

  • Monday to Friday, 7:00 am to 5:30 pm
  • Changed traffic arrangements will be in place until April 2026
  • Some works along Barossa Valley Way will occur at night to reduce daytime disruptions – those affected will be notified in advance

What to expect

  • Changed traffic arrangements will be in place across the area until mid-2026
  • Work may take place during the day, at night or on weekends to help maintain schedule and minimise disruption
  • You may notice some noise, vibration and dust during construction
  • We’ll continue working closely with the community to minimise impacts wherever possible

What happens to roads and footpaths after our works?

We work closely with the local council and follow all required reinstatement obligations, reinstating the parts of the road, footpath or the environment directly impacted by our works.

    Key details:

    • Sunnydale Avenue will be closed to through traffic, with local access maintained
    • traffic in and out of Lawson Avenue will be managed in stages as works progress past the intersection
    •if your driveway is affected, we will notify you in advance
    •please follow the detour signage on-site.

  • Martin Road works to begin

    Construction on Martin Road will begin the week commencing 13 January.

    The works will occur on the northern section of Martin Road between numbers 163 and 284.


    Key details:

    Works hours: 7:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday to Friday. Occasional Saturday work may be required

    Duration: Approximately eleven months


    What you need to know

      • There will be reduced speed limits on Martin Road.
      • At times, the road will be a single lane with a stop and go traffic system in place.
      • Vehicles will still be able to travel through the works but, short delays are expected.
      • The works will involve excavation and the installation of large pipes.
      • No interruptions to water supplies are expected.
