Virginia to Davoren Park: Robert Road and Petherton Road

Upgrading our water network in Robert Road and Petherton Road

To support reliable water services for existing and future customers in Angle Vale and surrounding communities and to support growth in Riverlea, we’re installing approximately 10 kilometres of new water mains along Robert Road and Petherton Road.

What to expect

Changed traffic arrangements will be in place along Robert Road, Petherton Road and nearby streets until late-2026.
Work may take place during the day, at night or on weekends, to help maintain schedule and minimise disruption.
You may notice some noise, vibration and dust during construction.
We’ll continue working closely with the community to minimise impacts wherever possible.
If you're directly affected, we’ll provide advance notice and work closely with residents and businesses, before and during construction.

Please note: Timeline dates are subject to change based on program requirements and weather conditions.

What happens to roads and footpaths after our works?

We work closely with the local council and follow all required reinstatement obligations, reinstating the parts of the road, footpath or the environment directly impacted by our works.

We will be working at night to install new water mains across Heaslip Road at the intersection with Robert Road, MacDonald Park.
There will be changed traffic arrangements on Heaslip Road between Curtis Road and the Northern Expressway at night.
Noise and light impacts may be experienced while works are completed.
Local access to residents and businesses will be maintained.
Please follow detour signage and directions on site for your safety.
