Manna Hill

Upgrades to the Manna Hill water network are now complete, with our local customers receiving safe and clean drinking water to their taps for the first time.
Drinking water supplied to Manna Hill comes from the River Murray, where it is filtered and treated at our Morgan Water Treatment Plant and pumped through the Morgan Whyalla pipeline to Peterborough. It is then transported by a dedicated drinking water tanker to Manna Hill’s water storage tanks.
The network upgrades included:
- constructing a new disinfection system to ensure a safe supply of drinking water throughout the water network.
- creating a new road access benefiting the community and visitors.
- upgrades to the town’s existing water network, including new pipe fittings and valves.
- twice weekly water carting from Peterborough, instead of Broken Hill.
