Wastewater infrastructure works at Edinburgh
Construction is now underway on two new 15 million litre above ground storage tanks, several ancillary structures to house pumps, odour management infrastructure and process treatment units and underground pipework that connect the tanks to the existing Sailsbury Trunk Main.
These upgrades will secure high quality, reliable wastewater services for existing customers and support future housing growth in the City of Salisbury council area.
Where we’re working
(see map below for more details)
- the storage tanks are being built on secured land on Kaurna Avenue as it is located within an existing industrial area, and the local topography helps to minimise the visual impact of the tanks on nearby residential areas
- large diameter inlet and outlet pipework will be installed within the adjacent underground easement
- details will be finalised once the design is completed

What to expect
- you may notice some noise, vibration and dust during construction
- we’ll continue working closely with the community to minimise impacts wherever possible.
