Consultation has concluded
Nestled near the township of Myponga on the stunning Fleurieu Peninsula, about an hour’s drive south of Adelaide, is the Myponga Reservoir Reserve. The trail here is ideal for walking and running with room for families to enjoy a picnic. You can also head to the lookout to take in the scenic surrounds.
On-water access for fishing and kayaking is available and keen paddlers are able to paddle out and explore 250 hectares of water surrounded by stunning landscapes. Shore-based fishing is also available.
As we continue to improve the offering at Myponga Reservoir Reserve, we are looking to further ongoing opportunities to deepen community connection to the space, enhance participation and provide additional value to the local area.
Myponga Pump Station Mural
Myponga’s Reservoir Reserve has proved to be a top spot for South Australians to explore the great outdoors, with tens of thousands of people flocking to the Fleurieu to enjoy activities like walking, fishing and kayaking.
Using a whole lot of paint, we’re helping create an even better visitor experience, and working together with the District Council of Yankalilla community and Fleurieu artist Chad Spencer, the reservoir’s red brick water pump station is getting a mural makeover.
There were three concept designs, and we asked you to pick your favourite. The winning design will be painted on the pump station walls immediately and will be completed as soon as the weather permits.
Thank you to all who voted and we hope you enjoy the new look pump station.
And the winner is………..
