SA Water will soon undertake works which will involve moving the existing water supply of residents to a new water main. This will involve relocating and installing a new water meter and undertaking some on-property plumbing work. The existing water main will be decommissioned at the end of the project as moving the connection to the new main will provide a more reliable supply of water.
The new water meter, associated on-property connections and reinstatement will be installed by licenced plumbers and contractors at no cost to affected residents.
Before we begin any work, SA Water will meet with on-site with property owners and our contractor to provide a plan of the pipe route and discuss the scope of works required. Construction will involve access to the property, some amount of digging and any work associated with installing the new plumbing. We will also temporarily disconnect the water service, at a time agreed with residents, when we transfer the property to the new network in late 2025.
Once works are scheduled in and then completed, reinstatement of the work area will be completed as close to existing condition as possible.
To schedule in your property for an onsite meeting or if you have any questions, please call Con Mylonopoulos on 0419 498 275 or email con.mylonopoulos@sawater.com.au
