We have been talking with regional communities across South Australia to understand your current needs and experiences with local drinking water supplies.
Theseconversations areguiding our long-term planning for potential water upgrades in regional areas where our drinking water supply is safe to drink in accordance with the Australian Drinking Water Guidelines, but may have aesthetic water quality challenges such as taste, colour, consistency, smell, or impacts on some household or commercial appliances.
The insights gathered through our conversations have been combined with the use of a technical, social, and economic multi-criteria analysis, to form our new Regional Water Quality Aesthetics Plan.
The plan is informing the potential investments we put forward in our 2024-2028 Regulatory Business Proposal for assessment by the Essential Services Commission of South Australia and the timing of investments in future submissions.
