Enhancing recreational activities – Myponga and Tod Reservoir Reserves
The success of providing recreational access at our reservoir reserves highlights the broader role water utilities can play in supporting the health and wellbeing of South Australian communities.
Recognising this, the State Government has committed to further expanding recreational opportunities at some of our reserves, including shoreline and on-water fishing.
We will be:
establishing expanded recreational fishing opportunities at Myponga Reserve on the Fleurieu Peninsula by enabling access to deeper water
establishing recreational fishing at Tod Reservoir on the Eyre Peninsula for the first time.
To support these activities, both sites will receive new visitor infrastructure including, toilets, shelters, picnic tables, signage, vehicle tracks, shared use trails and kayak launch areas.
Tod Reservoir will be stocked with appropriate fish species in collaboration with RecFish SA and the Department of Primary Industries and Regions SA (PIRSA).

Protecting our drinking water: Safe, reliable and affordable drinking water is our fundamental responsibility. These new recreational opportunities will be managed in a way that will continue to protect drinking water quality.
