Current Traffic Updates for Brooks Road Buckland Park
Work on the Brooks Road sewer main installation project is progressing, with the following activities expected to take place over the coming weeks.
When: Thursday 16 July between 7am – 5pm
Where: Brooks Road intersections between McEvoy Road, Ryan Road and White Road
Key details
- Crews will be cutting bitumen at the following intersections in preparation for trenching and pipelaying crossover activities:
- Each intersection will take around 3 hours to complete.
Contraflow traffic control will be in place at each intersection so vehicles can continue to pass through safely while work is underway.
When: Monday 20 to Tuesday 21 July between 7am – 5pm
Where: Brooks Road and Ryan Road intersection
Key details
- Open trenching and pipe laying at the Ryan Road / Brooks Road intersection will occur on Monday 20 July, with work expected to finish by the end of the day on Tuesday 21 July.
- Temporary fencing will be installed around the open trench on Monday evening to keep the area safe and secure overnight.
Contraflow traffic control will be in place to enable vehicles to safely pass through the intersection while work is underway.
When: Late July 2026 to November 2026
Where: Brooks Road, between Thompson and McEvoy Roads - Road closure
Key details
- The closure of this section is planned for late July until November.
- Traffic will detour via McEvoy, Tozer and Thompson Roads during these works.
This is expected to be the longest closure required for the project.
When: Ongoing until 24 July 2026
Where: Brooks Road between McEvoy and Ryan Road - Road Closure
Key details
- Crew continue to work southward between McEvoy and Ryan Roads, with traffic detouring via Ryan, Tozer and McEvoy Roads.
- Work in this section is expected to be completed by 24 July, with the road reopened to through traffic soon after.
When: Ongoing until 21 August 2026
Where: Brooks Road between Ryan and White Road - Road Closure
Key details
- Crew continue to work between Ryan Road and White Road with closures established in sections as required.
- Traffic for this section will detour via White, Tozer and Ryan Roads. Residents will have access to their properties either via Ryan or White Rd, depending on the work zone.
- This work is expected to take approximately 5 weeks, subject to weather and ground conditions
