Project update - September 2026

Construction continues to progress, with marine works nearing key milestones, including ongoing installation of the intake and outfall pipelines.

At the desalination plant site, major equipment has been installed, electrical works are nearing completion, and construction of key water storage and treatment infrastructure is advancing.

The terrestrial pipeline has reached an important milestone, with one major section successfully installed and pressure tested, while preparations continue for upcoming road crossing works.

Community members are reminded that marine exclusion zones at Billy Lights Point remain in place until 31 January 2027, and project updates will be available at upcoming events including the Cummins Show and Ceduna Oysterfest.
