Project update - June 2026

Traffic has improved around Billy Lights Point, with roadworks on Saint Andrews Drive now finished and the new site entrance fully reopened. On‑site construction continues to progress, with backfilling around pipework, installation of electrical conduits, and reconfiguration of the dewatering system underway. The terrestrial pipeline is now about two‑thirds complete, and Acciona continues to manage a busy site with hundreds of workers contributing daily.
Greyhound Road has reopened to the community following widening and full reinstatement, providing an all‑weather route to Murray’s Point. Leed has completed works associated with the 7‑kilometre transfer pipeline, with only minor fencing tasks remaining.
Marine works are also advancing, with tunnelling ongoing and barges positioned offshore ahead of EPA‑approved dredging required for intake and outfall pipe installation. A short section of the Parnkalla Trail will be closed from 29 June to 3 July to allow this work to occur safely.
