Ceduna Tank and Pipeline Project

Together with our contractor, McConnell Dowell Diona Joint Venture (MDJV), we are building a new 4.5 megalitre water storage tank and 12 kilometre pipeline into the Ceduna township. This project will improve water security for the Ceduna township now and into the future.

The new tank will be constructed next to the existing tanks located on Kalanbi Road . The new pipeline will be located on a mixture of private property and road reserve which runs between the new tank and existing pipeline network in Ceduna.

When it’s happening

Works will commence in November 2024, and we expect these works to be completed by mid-2026. The start and duration of works are dependent on weather conditions and any technical constraints we may encounter. We will endeavour to complete the works as quickly as possible, with minimal impact to the community.

Access to properties in the area will be maintained at all times during these works.

What to expect

We will have traffic management in place around our site to ensure safety of the community and our crews. As our works move into Ceduna township, we will have road closures along Schwarz Street.

Local Project Employment Opportunities

Our framework delivery partner - McConnell Dowell Dionna Joint Venture (MDJV) - are wanting to use local employees as much as possible during these works. They will be holding an in person drop-in employment session at the Ceduna Foreshore Hotel on Tuesday, 26 November 2024 between 10am and 4:30pm.

The team will be looking for:

  • General labourers
  • Labourers with concrete experience (concrete, reinforcement and/or formwork)
  • Trenching/pipeline experience
  • Plant operators in particular:
    • Excavator operators
    • Roller operators
    • Loader operators
  • Site administration

If you would like more information on this, please contact Chantel Martin directly on 0486 011 309 or attend in person to talk with the project team.
